Rillettes de Canard (400g Tin Serves 8)

High quality duck rillettes prepared for us by Maison Godard in the French Perigord region.

These rillettes are lovely – they have a very pleasant taste and texture, are suitably fat (rillettes need to be!) and these larger tins contain a deceptively large amount of rillettes.

Delicious spread liberally over lightly toasted bread of baguette and ideal in sandwiches. Rillettes are also very enjoyable if you serve them alongside peeled boiled potatoes – they partially melt and the overall result is very good!

It’s worth taking your rillettes out of the fridge a little before serving as 1) they are best at room temperature and 2) more spreadable like this.
