A delicious French meal for two – and another excellent dish by Godard in the French Perigord region.
Tender goose confit characterised by it’s fine flavour and superb yielding texture, which is simmered in a very flavoursome savoury green Puy lentil sauce with small pieces of larding bacon, which add a very very light and pleasant smokiness.
This dish is nourishing , but suprisingly light given that it is prepared with goose confit.
Simply open tin with a tin opener – pour contents into a saucepan – add a little bit of water to loosen up the lentils – and warm gently.
This dish is a complete meal in itself and does not require a side, although a green salad will not go amiss!
