A delicious French meal for one and another excellent dish by Maison Godard in the French Perigord region.
Tender goose confit characterised by it’s fine flavour and superb yielding texture, which is simmered in a very flavoursome savoury green Puy lentil sauce with small pieces of larding bacon, which add a very very light and pleasant smokiness.
This dish is nourishing , but surprisingly light given that it is prepared with goose confit.
Simply open tin with a tin opener – pour contents into a saucepan – add a little bit of water to loosen up the lentils – and warm gently.
This dish is a complete meal in itself and does not require a side.
Goose confit (29%), green Puy lentils (23%). Sauce: duck stock, onions, carroits, turnip, leeks, cloves. Smoked pork breast, duck fat, salt, wheat flour, celery, egg, pepper.
Store in a cool dry place up to 3 years. Once open store in a fridge 0-4c and consume within 3 days.
