About this product
Greek Feta cheese made from sheep and goats milk in the mountainous region of Almyros, central Greece, an officially recognised feta producing province enjoying PDO status.
Quite unique to other cheeses, Feta can be an important ingredient, particularly in the Summer months.
It is crumbly, can be cut into cubes (for Summer salads!) and can be emulsified into a workable paste for several dishes.
Delicious served with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, cherry tomatoes and a sprinkling of oregano.
Also available in feta 900g.
A few uses for Feta cheese
Greek Salad – just add a few feta cubes to your recipe!
Feta Spinach Filopastry Tart (Spanakopita)
Greek Mezes – emulsify feta with olive oil, red pepper, garlic and herbs and use as a spread.
A General Ingredient – as an easily available ingredient, dice your feta into cubes and keep in a fridge in a jar submerged in olive oil. You can also sprinkle fresh oregano over it.
All in all, a versatile cheese and probably quite healthy!
