About this product

A very enjoyable speciality from the Alsace region of Eastern France.

Baeckeoffe is made with different types of meat (beef, pork and lamb) simmered in Riesling wine for a few hours together with a few vegetables (potato, carrot and leek) – so in essence a meat an vegetable stew a little bit like a pot au feu.

The simplest way to prepare this dish is to pour the contents into a saucepan and warm very gently with lid on until hot, stirring every so often.

Our jars of Baeckeoffe are hand filled for an attractive presentation and can be stored at room temperature (until opened).

Ingredients

Mix of vegetables (45.2%) from France (potatoes (E223), carrots (E330), leeks), water, mix of three meats (27.3%) (beef 34%, pork 33%, lamb 33%), Riesling, onion, salt, spices. Meat EU origin. May contain traces of gluten, egg, milk, mustard, sulphite and nuts.

Storage & Care
