Just what you need to make Rick Stein’s Parmentier Duck Confit Recipe – also a very good standby for Christmas lunch!

High quality four portion tins of duck confit prepared by La Belle Chaurienne in Castelnaudary.

This outstanding confit has won a tasting competition 8 times and we sell thousands of these each year (including numerous re- orders) which we take to be a good sign.

Each tin contains four duck confit legs, the meat is tender and tastes delicious.

Simply remove from tin, bush of excess fat and cook in overn (preheated at 180c) skin side up for 20 minutes until golden brown.

Storage: Confit de canard can be stored in a cupboard 3 years. Once opened store in fridge and consume within 3 days.

Cooking Preparation Tips

It’s worth placing your tin of duck confit at room temperature a couple of hours before use to loosen the duck fat so it’s easier to remove the duck legs from the tin.

Once done remove the duck confit from tin brushing off any excess fat and place in an oven dish.

Pre-heat oven to 180c and place confit de canard in oven for circa 25 minutes until crisp and golden brown.

Duck confit goes well with roast potatoes, a side salad, lentils, cassoulet beans, braised red cabbage …
