A new introduction to our range of dry porcini – cepes “surchoix”, which are the best ones of all and even better than our “EXTRA” grade porcini, which are already something special. The main advantage of using these is that the flavour they will add to your recipes is even better.
Plantin, our French mushroom supplier, have a reputation for quality, and the flavour these dry porcini will give to dishes is just superb.
Dried porcini mushrooms work well in risottos, pasta and polenta dishes, and cream based sauces and soups.
Rehydrate dried porcini for 45 minutes in tepid water and carefully rinse them a few times to remove any grit.
You can keep the water you soak them in to add further flavour to your dish too!
