Some very welcome news for confit enthusiasts – La Belle Chaurienne have against the odds (given the ongoing bird flu crisis in France and Europe) been able to secure a limited amount of duck confit, and we have one pallet reserved (due to reach us early March). And as a result, we are in a position to more actively promote this speciality as we have been accustomed to!

We are able to promote these at present at £22.50 per tin (instead of £29.95), which is as far as we can tell the best online unit price at the time of writing – and a saving  of £7.45 per tin.

As duck confit will most likely continue to remain scarce for at least the first half of this year, we recommend anyone keen on confit to seize this rare opportunity!

Our best selling duck confit (100% natural and gluten free) prepared by La Belle Chaurienne in Castelnaudary, South West France.

Each tin contains 4 duck confit legs and has 3 years life (can be stored in a cupboard).

Cooking Preparation Tips

It’s worth placing your tin of duck confit at room temperature a couple of hours before use to loosen the duck fat so it’s easier to remove the duck legs from the tin.

Once done remove the duck confit from tin brushing off any excess fat and place in an oven dish.

Pre-heat oven to 180c and place confit de canard in oven for circa 25 minutes until crisp and golden brown.

Duck confit goes well with roast potatoes, a side salad, lentils, cassoulet beans, braised red cabbage …
