Chestnut Honey (250g)

A very good chestnut honey with a delicious flavour and considerable depth of flavour.

Alemany chestnut honey is harvested in summer in Galicia. It has a dark amber colour, almost opaque, with a floral, slightly woody aroma. The flavour is deep with hints of saltiness. Delicious eaten simply on toast or drizzled over fresh cheese and manchego.

This product has been awarded with 1 star in the Great Taste Awards 2016. The judges’ comments were:

“Beautiful sap like colour. Pleasing texture. Strong upfront floral flavour with hints of caramel. Dark and slightly opaque, not overly sweet, with an almost peaty layer within the flavour.”
