Sturgeon roe (fish), salt, preservative: E285 (borax).
What is borax?
Borax (sodium borate) is a traditional caviar preservative. It helps maintain texture, stability, and enhances flavour.
Caviar storage
All caviar products should be refrigerated upon receipt. Once opened, consume within 48 hours. Royal Beluga caviar can be stored in a domestic fridge from -3C to +3c. When storing caviar in your fridge, it is best to store it at the back of the fridge on the bottom shelf where it is coolest and temperature does not fluctuate.
