Ibérico Chorizo de Bellota – Acorn-Fed Excellence
Crafted from Ibérico pigs raised in the dehesa of Extremadura and fattened on acorns for 10–12 weeks, this exceptional chorizo captures the true depth of Spain’s finest charcuterie tradition. Cured slowly for four months in Badajoz, it develops a beautifully balanced character—predominantly lean red meat with just the right marbling for richness and succulence.
Seasoned with Spanish smoked paprika (pimentón) and garlic, it offers a full, intense flavour with gentle warmth, a deep red hue, and a satisfyingly juicy texture.
Produced by Señorío de Montanera—a collective of Ibérico breeders based in Extremadura—every stage is overseen with meticulous care, from free-range rearing to final cure.
What Is Spanish Chorizo?
Spanish chorizo is a traditional pork sausage seasoned with smoked paprika, which gives it its distinctive colour and smoky depth. Garlic and, in some varieties, chilli add further complexity.
Cooking chorizo is fresh and must be cooked before eating.
Cured chorizo, like this one, is air-dried and ready to enjoy—firm in texture and ideal for slicing.
How to Serve
For the finest flavour and texture, remove from the refrigerator and open the pack at least 30 minutes before serving. Slice thinly and enjoy as part of a tapas spread, in sandwiches, on pizza, or simply with crusty bread and a glass of Spanish red wine.
