Product Description

About this product
A delicious meal for three large appetites or four smaller appetites prepared by Maison Godard in Perigord!
French coq au vin (rooster) simmered in a rich and flavoursome Cahors wine sauce.
Good Food Tasting Notes: As ever with the Godard Range of French meals – excellent – and first and foremost, in appearance, taste and aroma, this is a wine based sauce – rich in colour, the smell is delicious – and like all this range, like home cooked meals.
The colour of the sauce is deep and appetising – the meat is tender, and well marinated and imbued with the flavour of wine … we will stop there!
How To Prepare And Serve? Simply warm up gently in a saucepan, and serve with mashed potato or fresh egg tagliatelle to absorb the delicious sauce!

Tried this and can say it is delicious; one tin is more than sufficient for four helpings. The first day we had it with mashed potato and peas. Day two with pasta and button mushrooms. I was surprised that button mushroom was not included in the menu and also I added a little salt and pepper for the second day
