Cooking Preparation Tips
- Remove the jar from the cupboard a couple of hours before cooking to allow the duck fat to soften.
- Carefully remove the duck legs, gently brushing away any excess duck fat (keep the fat for roasting potatoes or vegetables).
- Place the duck legs skin-side up in an ovenproof dish.
- Roast in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 25 minutes, until the skin is beautifully crisp and golden.
The duck is already cooked—you are simply reheating it and crisping the skin.
Keep the duck fat for for roasting potatoes!
