Plantin have a world wide reputation for supplying very high quality mushrooms and deliver to leading (including Michelin starred) chefs.
There are several varieties of morel but Morchella conica is the most prized for its delicate flavour.
These “special” morels feature only the caps — widely considered the most flavourful and aromatic part of the mushroom.
They are medium large, well formed and retain their structure well after hydration and during cooking.

Cooking Preparation Tips
Place morels in tepid water; soak for 45 minutes; rinse thoroughly to remove any grit; cook fully before eating.
Strain and keep the liquid, it has great mushroom flavour and can be used in soups, stews and sauces.
For best results, gently sauté in butter first. Morels work very well in cream sauces paired with chicken. You can also add them to soups and stews, risotto, omelettes, poached eggs.
