About this product
A 100% and very tasty choucroute (sauerkraut) prepared with quality pieces of duck confit, duck sausage, and smoked pork breast cooked with the traditional pickled cabbage in Sylvaner wine.
The flavour is very good indeed, very authentic and not too fatty as choucroute can often be a little heavy!
The cabbage is excellent (seasoned with a regional white wine!) and the overall dish is excellent!
Ingredients? Choucroute (sauerkraut), duck confit, duck sausage, smoked pork breast, water, Sylvaner white wine, onion, duck fat, salt, veal stock, wheat, spices, garlic.
Shelf Life & Storage? Store in a cupboard up to date indicated on lid (1 year minimum). Once open store in a fridge and consume within 2 days.
Choucroute Preparation Tips
Open your tin with a tin opener and pour your choucroute into either a saucepan or oven dish and warm until hot. Serve with the pieces of meat and charcuterie on top and goes well with peeled and boiled potatoes.
Goes well with any white wine from Alsace (Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Sylvaner) served very chilled.
