A very high quality goose foie gras mi – cuit prepared for us by Edouard Artzner foie gras specialists in Strasbourg with a generous slice of black truffle running through the middle.
Foie gras mi cuit (literally half cooked in French) have been cooked a little less than the fully preserved foie gras, which gives them a slightly fuller flavour, which many connoisseurs prefer.
Overall, the depth of taste and texture of these foie gras are just wonderful and the flavour of truffle adds yet another layer of taste to this excellent foie gras.
Makes a very special starter for 2 for special occasions and an exceptional foie gras.
If you want to enjoy foie gras at it’s very best, we recommend enjoying it cool (remove from fridge 10 minutes prior to serving) on some finely sliced good quality bread (toasted or untoasted), a few salt crystals/ fresh or dried figs or a chutney/ wine jelly of your choice.
