A lovely gift for foie gras enthusiasts! A tasting set containing one duck foie gras entier (the finest grade of foie gras available) and one sauternes wine jelly to accompany the foie gras.
These foie gras are prepared by Castaing – one of France’s most reputed foie gras producers based in the Landes region of South West France.
Castaing supply La Grande Epicerie – the French equivalent to our Harrods or Fortnum’s – and their foie gras are superb.
The duck foie gras comes in an 80g jar (serves two) and the sauternes jelly (30g) is the right quantity to accompany the foie gras.
Ingredients
Duck foie gras – duck liver 88%, water, porto wine, salt, spices, sugar, anti-oxydant: sodium ascorbate, preservative: sodium nitrite.
Sauternes Wine Jelly – sauternes wine 43%, sugar, water, pectin, citric acid.
