A stock rotation error leaving us with a few jars of best before April 2024 Mymoune fig jam – we have tasted them and they are perfect (not surprising as it is a preserve), but on clearance due to the dates.
This best tasting fig jam we have yet tried.
What makes it so good? It is prepared with fresh green figs (their are fig pieces in it) rather than sundried figs – fresh fig has a lighter (fresher) taste than the sundried fig and a more open texture. Whatever the reason, the result is delicious!
It is 100% natural and bursting with flavour and goodness and very enjoyable on toast – although we liked it so much we found ourselves eating it by the spoon!
Fig jam also goes very well with foie gras and pates, hard cheeses such as comte and cheddar, and even cold meats.
Fresh figs, sugar, fresh lemon juice.
