A very high quality semi – fresh goose foie gras mi – cuit prepared by Edouard Artzner in Strasbourg – with the added luxury of a slice of truffle embedded in the foie gras!
Semi fresh “mi cuit” have a slightly fuller flavour than the fully preserved foie gras which some connoisseurs prefer. As for the truffle – if you enjoy foie gras and truffles independently of each other, then these are a real treat! But make sure you like truffle first (not everyone does), as they are more expensive courtesy of the truffle, so it’s important that you like it!
Overall, the taste and texture are just wonderful!
Each 40g slice is individually packaged so you can enjoy them seperately and don’t have to use both at once – simply open one sleeve, run around the rim with a knife, and gently push, and your foie gras slice will easily come out.
If you want to enjoy foie gras at it’s very best, we recommend enjoying it cool (remove from fridge 10 minutes prior to serving) on some finely sliced good quality white bread (toasted or untoasted), a few salt crystals/ fresh or dried figs or a chutney/ wine jelly of your choice.
