A rich and indulgent alioli made using oak-smoked olive oil from Toledo. Our two observations would be 1) that the initial flavour is very food but 2) the lingering aftertaste of subtly smoked garlic builds in the mouth and is the best part of this. The best alioli we have tried!
The garlic gives it an intense aroma and a full, savoury flavour and this condiment is traditionally served alongside paella, arroz negro and other rice dishes. It is also a delicious accompaniment to grilled meats or with simple boiled vegetables and can also be added to fish soup.
Alternatively use it instead of mayonnaise for use in sandwiches, particularly with fish or chicken.
Sunflower oil, Finca la Barca smoked olive oil (27.5%), garlic (7%), water, vinegar, pasteurized EGG yolk, lemon juice (SULPHITES) salt, sugar, modified corn starch, stabilisers: xanthan gum and alginate, smoke flavouring, antioxidant: EDTA, preservative: potasium sorbate.
Keep in a cool dry place away from sunlight. Once opened, keep refrigerated and use within 7 days.
