Description

A superb quality duck confit prepared for us by a French Chef in London who prepares artisanal duck products – each vacuum pack contains 2  large duck legs (total weight approx. 400g) which have 6 months life stored in a fridge.

This duck confit has been awarded a Great Taste Gold Medal at it’s launch (and also a Bronze Medal at the British Charcuterie Awards).

We recently re-tried this duck confit (we test products intermittently to remind ourselves about them!) and we were really “wowed” for want of a better word at just how good this was – the seasoning, quality of the meat and texture were superb, and just at present we rank this the finest confit in our range – well worth a try!

Duck legs (selected from selected French farms), duck fat, garlic, rosemary, bay leaves, salt and pepper.

Storage:

Keep the unopened pack in the fridge (0c-4c) and consume before the date indicated on the pack. Once opened, keep the pack sealed and refrigerated, consume within 7 days.

Cooking Preparation Tips

How to cook: oven or pan fry, skin-side down first, to your personal taste. Chef recommends about 25 minutes for crispy skin and nutty brown colour.

Chef’s suggestion: eat with a dressed green salad for a perfect light lunch, or with roasted potatoes for the ideal mid-week supper.
