An outstanding quality goose confit prepared by Castaing in the Landes region.
Each jar contains one large goose confit leg and serves 1 – 2 depending on appetite – bear in mind that a goose leg is considerably larger than a duck leg.
Castaing were founded in 1900 and specialize in very high quality duck based specialities and everything they produce is outstanding.
Ideal to serve when entertaining as easy to prepare for consistently delicious results – and something a little different to the more well known duck confit!

Cooking Preparation Tips
Before opening your tin place it in warm water for 10 minutes. This helps loosen the goose fat and makes it easier to prise out the goose leg.
Then remove confit from tin and place in an oven tray or grill and cook at middling heat (180c) until golden brown.
Keep the goose fat! It’s a tasty which you can use to roast potatoes.
