The best chestnut cream we have yet tried and a real treat!

This chestnut cream is traditionally made in Ardèche (France) with 2 ingredients per jar: organic chestnuts AOP from Ardèche + organic sugar.

How to Enjoy Your Chestnut Spread? On it’s own, as a spread on toasts, on pacakes, with yoghurt, or in more dessert recipes than we can count (cupcake, cheesecake, fondant … ) … and please scroll down to view our chestnut cake recipe.

Comes in a nice glass jar that you can re-use for your own kitchen.

Chestnuts from Ardeche AOP (53%), sugar (47%). Nothing else.

Cooking Preparation Tips

Time to cook our soft chestnut cake! Mix together 220g chestnut spread, 1 spoon of gluten free chestnut flour (Shipton Mill do this), 3 eggs, 4 tbs olive oil. In a bowl, whisk 3 egg whites with a pinch of sea salt. Then add them delicately to the chestnut mixture. Mix slowly. Put in the oven for 30 minutes at 180c. Et voila!
